Tutoring Services
EdVantageUNI provides personalized, 1 hour tutoring sessions for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, delivering focused, one-on-one support tailored to each learner’s needs. Led by University of Northern Iowa students, each session is designed to build confidence, reinforce key skills, and support success in the classroom.
What is the cost?
Tutoring sessions are priced at $40 per child for each 60-minute session.
Who are the tutors?
Our tutors are University of Northern Iowa students. All tutors complete background checks through Iowa's Single Contact Repository (SING) and an FBI background check. Tutors receive ongoing training and support from experienced education faculty and staff.
What if my child misses a session?
If a student cannot attend a scheduled session, please notify us as soon as possible. We will work with families to reschedule when possible.
This is my first time signing my child up. How do I register them for tutoring?
To register your child for tutoring, click the "Register Here (New User)" button and complete the online registration form. Once your submission has been received, a member of our team will contact you to discuss your child's needs, scheduling options, and next steps.
If your child has previously participated in the tutoring program, please use the "Returning Student" button instead.

Tutoring Hours:
Tuesday: 4pm-8pm
Wednesday: 3pm-8pm
Thursday: 4pm-8pm
Tutoring will follow the University of Northern Iowa academic calendar. If the Cedar Falls Community School District cancels school due to inclement weather, tutoring sessions will also be canceled.
